***An update to a previous post***

As you may have noticed from my earlier post. I did get to enroll for the Spring semester at QCC—and now in hindsight, God must have been looking out for me. I had intended to enroll for Fall 2024 there was just too much going on at the time. So right now I am happily enrolled at QCC and if you might know, actually thriving academically. You probably going, “That’s shocking. You can actually read?”😂

But anyway, why do I call my QCC enrollment a Godsend? Because news broke just this week that the Trump administration is planning to really crack down on student loan repayments beginning NEXT month(May).😳 If I hadn’t enrolled in school, guess who would be making those $300+ payments? Yup, you guessed right.😂 I actually logged into FAFSA and looked at my student loan situation. It now says my next payment is in 2029(after graduation)👍.

The Spring semester is almost coming to an end. I’m taking some classes at QCC this Summer also. I talked to the QCC financial aid folks and they told me to fill out the 25-26 FAFSA if I wanted to attend Summer. I took care of that several weeks ago

They also strongly advised me to apply for the NY state financial aid, something I opted not to do for the Spring semester—I had income tax coming in, so I decided to go easy on them.😂I already put in my NY financial aid too. I actually got an email from them yesterday 04/23 saying they couldn’t process my application there was something missing in my recently filed FAFSA (25-26).🙄 They said I need to “make corrections” on my FAFSA within the next 14 days or my application gets yanked.🙄

When I logged into my FAFSA account yesterday, it didn’t indicate that there was ANY problem that I needed to fix, so I really don’t know what’s going on with NY state financial aid. In addition, it is super complicated to contact the folks at NY state financial aid. You have to schedule an appointment, but here’s the kicker, on their calendar page for appts, ALL reservations at taken🙄

Long story short. TI radar 🚨 is beginning to go off on NY state financial aid. Not full blast yet, but the alarm 🚨 is surely going off.😂 Stay tuned

On my day off(Wednesday 05/07/25) just chilling and relaxing and next thing I know, boom👇Summer school is like two weeks away. See what a TI has to go through?😂 The so-called “jerking around” program aka neo-mkultra you thought was a “conspiracy theory”😳🤔. Trust me, there are NO legitimate “problems” with all the applications I’ve submitted thus far. Stay tuned, folks. There’s also supposed to be an award from the financial aid proper(federal) for Summer school but you already know what time it is—theft theft theft🤔

    ***Updated on Tuesday 052025***
So the Spring semester officially ended this past Saturday(05/17) so my focus has shifted to the Summer semester.

Back in late March, early April, I had registered for two Summer classes for a total of 6 credit hours—one on Summer I and the other one in Summer II. The Summer one was scheduled to begin on 05/27—a few days from today.

So yesterday, on my day off(Monday 05/19) I decided to call QCC financial aid office to see what was going on with my financial aid application because as I had repeatedly made it clear to them, the ONLY way I attend Summer school is with financial aid—student loans.

Back in late March when I registered for Summer school, I made sure to check in with the financial aid office to make sure come Summer semester, I will have a decision one way or another re my financial aid. Back then(March), the financial aid office told me what I needed to do was fill out the 2025-26 FAFSA and also apply for NY state financial aid—both of which I took care of.

So I thought all I had to do is knock out the Spring semester and SMOOTHLY transition into Summer I, right? Wrong.🙄My financial aid application remained in limbo until yesterday when I reached someone at the office, meaning it had been languishing since March.🙄 Mind you, I’ve sent a lot of emails in the interim to inquire about the status of my aid but apparently I was “speaking to the hand.”😂🙄

So yesterday when I finally got a hold of someone at the office they told me I could not receive any more federal financial aid because I am maxed out for an undergraduate—I’ve apparently hit the limits for both Pell & student loans

I would have to get a private loan or pay for myself. Why did it take so long to tell me that? If they told me that in April, I would have made arrangements to pay for myself this Summer. It’s only 1 class in Summer I.🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️You see what I’m saying, the problem is not with the determination that I’m maxed out, if that is even the case, but rather that they could have told me that way back then allowing me to make plans for Summer school. Now it’s less than 10 days before classes start—too late to do anything. I’m also ONLY finding out because I called yesterday. I would have been sitting here thinking I have class on the 27th only to hit the FIND OUT phase then.😂 Come on now, something is not right with that picture.🤷‍♀️

And then this. The financial aid lady also asked me if I had filed the NY state financial aid and I told her I did when I filed my 2025-26 FAFSA, just like they told me. I told her they rejected my application over some issues with my FAFSA. The lady told me NY aid had NOTHING to do with FAFSA, but when you look at the letter below, that’s EXACTLY what the NY state aid folks told me. What is a targeted individual supposed to believe, folks?😂🤷‍♀️

Long story short, folks, my plans for Summer school and the financial aid😂 have hit a road block. Coincidence? Hmm, we report you decide

Interesting side note, before I got off the phone with the financial aid lady, I asked her about the Godsend bill—literally—that NY Governor Hochul recently signed that essentially makes community college FREE

    ***Updated Tuesday 061025***

So Monday 06/09/25 was my day off and one of my “to-do”s for Monday was contacting QCC about my Fall registration. You’ll remember that I had registered for two classes this Summer but I couldn’t attend because my financial aid fell through–maxed out per the QCC financial aid office. I had applied for NY State financial aid back in March too, but I don’t even know what’s going on with them at this point. My applications keep getting withdrawn for let’s just say, “strange” reasons😂🙄

So here’s what’s going on with QCC that is very interesting. Back in Houston, and Texas generally, when you register for college classes. You are expected to pay or at least set up some type of payment plan a few days before the class begins–typically the Friday before the class begins. If you don’t outright pay the tuition by the Friday, or set up some type of payment plan, you lose your class. They don’t hold it for you anymore UNLESS the financial aid office tells them you have pending financial aid–money coming. In those cases, the college will hold the classes for you

So a targeted individual over here is thinking surely that’s how all colleges operate, right? WRONG. The Summer classes they had me registered for and for which I made absolutely clear to the financial aid office that I cannot attend without financial aid, are STILL showing on my enrolled classes. Crucially, now I OWE the school $$ even though I never stepped foot in any of these classes. And because of this “tuition bill”, I cannot register for Fall classes. Lord Have Mercy. Think about that, a targeted individual closed his eyes for a minute and just like that, Deep State has him locked out of school😳 Somebody FOR REAL doesn’t want this TI going to school. If it’s not denying him federal financial aid it’s NY State financial aid and now these “registration issues”🙄🤦

And check this out, on Monday 06/09 at 2:15 pm, I was supposed to have a virtual meeting with someone from Advisors office to discuss my plans for Fall registration and iron out some of these other registration issues and take a wild guess as to what happened? You guessed it, it DIDN’T happen. When I called the advisement office after 2:15 pm to inquire about this, she told me the person I was supposed to talk to, one Ann, was not at the office today(working from home). She took my number and told me to expect a call from Ann. I told her I had two phones and told her to tell Ann to call me on the number I had shared with her–the phone I used mostly. An hour goes back and the QCC lady calls me Ann had called and missed me on the OTHER phone😂🤦and also that she had sent me an email which I supposed was Zoom instructions. I checked my email and surprise surprise NADA!!🤦

Later that day, I called QCC advisement again to inquire about the supposed email that was sent to me. They put me through to another lady(not sure if that was the elusive Ann😂🤷) but she basically told me that the last day to drop my Summer I class was June 2nd so I may end up getting stuck with the bill, even though I didn’t attend/had no intention of attending without financial aid🤦. As for the Summer II class that I have coming up, she told me to go and withdraw from it immediately so I don’t have to pay for it too🙄. I tried doing that myself on CUNY website but it ended up being more complicated than a SpaceX launch mission😂. My plan is to physically go to QCC Wednesday on my day off and have this addressed. She said I could appeal the Summer I charges, so I will find out about that on Wednesday.

As it currently, a targeted individual is locked out of Fall registration.🤦 Think about that, a TI set out back in March to get financial aid so he can attend Summer school and now, he NOT ONLY can’t attend because financial aid fell through, but he OWES QCC for courses he never took. AND he’s locked out of Fall registration. That’s some REAL TI stuff, ain’t it?😂🤦

    ***Updated Wednesday 06/11/25***

So on my day off Wednesday 06/11/25, I decided to visit QCC to see what the hell was going on with this registration chicanery😂I also wanted to cancel the Summer II class that I had coming up to avoid getting TRICKED into a $700 bill like I just did, and relax, I’li explain why I say TRICKED.

So, I had two Summer classes, one for Summer I beginning on 05/27 and the other for Summer II beginning sometime in late July. During my visit today I made sure to drop the July class so as to avoid getting tricked into another $725 bill. SAD🤦‍♀️

Right before Summer I class was about to begin, I wanna say around the 05/17, I contacted (phone call) the financial aid office asking them why I had not received any financial aid yet, even though classes were like 10 days away. So this talked to that one, who talked to the other😂and they finally got back to me saying I was not eligible for financial aid because I was maxed out. So right there and then I told her I was no longer interested because there was no way I would attend class without financial aid. I even remember telling the financial aid lady that I will have to withdraw from both classes.

Also, like I said earlier, my Texas mindset had me thinking that because I had not set up any payment plan and there was no financial aid coming for me, the system would drop the class for me—that’s how they do it in Texas. You either pay, or they hold the class for you if you have pending financial aid(money coming)

So two days after classes start(05/29/25) this email shows up on my mailbox—the aforementioned TRICKERY.

Any reasonable person reading this email would have concluded, as I did, that it was not wise to drop classes—that there were problems with financial aid processing, and that if you just waited a little bit longer, you would get financial aid for the class🤔. So I figured, let me give it a week to see if I get some financial aid. That, my friend, is how a targeted individual fell head, shoulders and toes into the TRICK. What the email CRUCIALLY left out, was that 06/02 (three days after the email) was the LAST day to drop the class without getting stuck with the $725 bill. Lord Have Mercy.🤦‍♀️ So now a POOR targeted individual has to come up with $725 for a class he never intended, AND as a requirement for Fall registration. That’s some cold Deep State stuff, ain’t it?😂

The Bursar’s office gave me a link to appeal this bill, but I have to tell you, it’s not a very promising avenue🤦‍♀️

Long story short, people should not have to be subjected to these pitfalls if they are interested in getting an education. This stuff looks very bad—almost like an effort to force somebody out of school. Not a good look, QCC, NOT a good look. Also why it’s a VERY GOOD thing that NY Gov Hochul is making certain aspects of community college FREE. Hopefully it will save poor students from such chicanery🙏

I’ll keep you updated on the “pithy” appeal😂

    ***Updated on Friday 082225***

Long story short, they ended up cancelling my $725 bill and registered me for Fall classes. On Monday I have to go the financial aid office so I can do an application for Gov Kathy Hochul’s FREE college program

While at QCC, I asked the question a lot of prospective students probably have right now, and that is, why would they need a student to apply for financial aid if the program was free? The answer I was given, a very good one, is that they want a student to exhaust all available forms of aid (Pell & NY state aid) first. In other words, they want the money set aside for this program to benefit students who don’t have other means of financial aid available. That saves money for the program, allowing it to help more people.

I know I’m maxed out on Pell grants but I’m not sure about NY state aid. They’ve been acting very fishy with my previous applications😂. All kinds of TI alarms 🚨 have been going on with NY state aid (aka TAP).😂 Somebody there REALLY doesn’t want this TI getting any money.😂They were also the reason I got into the $725 bill jam in the first place. They were supposed to pay for my Summer classes but just left me hanging. They said they never got/could not access my processed FAFSA.🙄 Very fishy.

We’ll see what NY state aid says this time around. The good thing is—God bless Gov Hochul—I don’t have to chase them around if they decide to “disappear” on me.😂I still intend, though, to find out exactly why they never paid my Summer tuition bill. Stay tuned.

Also, I guess the tuition appeal I recently made is now moot? Still waiting to hear what they say anyway. They may decide to dig into the NY state issue—ask them why they didn’t pay for my Summer classes😳

So Monday 08/25/25, I stopped by QCC financial aid to deal with the free college program. They had asked me the previous week to make sure I do my 2025-26 FAFSA & TAP and then come back to do an application for the free program. So I came in thinking I would have to sit down and fill an actual application.

This time around however, the lady FinAid lady told me there was no separate application needed, and that the main financial aid office will figure that out themselves depending on what happens to my FAFSA & TAP—which kinda made sense, so I didn’t push the issue further even though her workmate had told me last week that I needed to do an application.

I told her however that I got caught up this Summer semester because TAP did not pay my tuition. She told me now that the free program is in effect and I’m clearly eligible, she doesn’t see how I will get stuck with the bill. So we left it at that. I kinda agreed with what she said. In other words, the TI alarm 🚨 did not go off while I was talking to her. If it did, I would have asked to speak to someone else😂
